Jesus said to him, If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. And the young man hearing the word, went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

Jesus looking on him loved him, and said to him, One thing is wanting to thee: go, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. And he being grieved at the word, went away sorrowing: for he had great possessions.

And Jesus hearing these things, said to him, Still one thing is lacking to thee: Sell all things whatsoever you have, and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. And hearing these things, he went away very sorrowful; for he was exceedingly rich.

And they eating, He said; Truly, I say unto you, that one of you will betray me. And they being exceedingly sorrowful, began each one of them to say to Him, Lord, whether am I the one?

And He said to them, What speeches are these which you are interchanging to one another, walking along? And they stood still, looking sad.

But I hope in the Lord Jesus, speedily to send unto you Timothy, in order that I may also be delighted, having learned the things concerning you.
