But with respect to the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read what was spoken to you of God, saying, "I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?" God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. And when the multitude heard it, they were amazingly struck with his doctrine.

Matthew 5:17-18

Think not that I am come to destroy the law and the prophets: I came not to destroy, but to fulfil. For I tell you assuredly, that till heaven and earth pass away, not one iota, or the smallest stroke of a letter, shall pass from the law, until all things shall be accomplished.
