Rebuke not an elder, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers: the elderly women as mothers; the younger women as sisters, in all purity.

And it came to pass while they were going round, He also came into a certain village: and a certain woman by name Martha received Him into her house. And there was a sister to her called Mary, who indeed sitting down at the feet of the Lord, continued to hear his word: and Martha was very busy about much serving. And the Lord responding said to her, Martha, Martha, you are solicitous and encumbered concerning many things: but there is need of one thing: for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken from her.

And a certain one was sick, Lazarus from Bethany, of the village of Mary and Martha her sister. And Mary was the one anointing the Lord with myrrh, and wiping His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. Then the sisters sent to Him, saying, Lord, behold the one whom thou lovest is sick.

If a brother or sister may be naked, and may be destitute of daily food, and one of you may say to them, Go in peace, be ye warmed, and be ye fed; and give them not the necessaries of the body; what profit is it? So indeed faith, if it may not have works, is dead, as to itself.

And He yet speaking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and His brothers stood without, seeking to speak to Him. And a certain one said to Him; Behold, thy mother and thy brothers stand without, seeking to speak to thee. If any one comes to me, and does not hate his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers, and sisters, and even yet his own soul, he is not able to be my disciple.

And every one who has left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, on account of my name, shall receive a hundred-fold, and inherit eternal life.
