Then the LORD said unto him, "What is that in thine hand?" And he said, "A rod."

But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world, to confound the wise. And God hath chosen the weak things of the world, to confound things which are mighty. And vile things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things of no reputation, for to bring to nought things of reputation, that no flesh should rejoice in his presence.

Notwithstanding, in a great house are not only vessels of gold and of silver: but also of wood and of earth: Some for honour, and some unto dishonour. But if a man purge himself from such fellows, he shall be a vessel sanctified unto honour meet for the Lord, and prepared unto all good works. Lusts of youth avoid, and follow righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with them that call on the Lord with pure heart.
