5 Bible Verses about Soberness

Now the works of the flesh are apparent, which are, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strifes, jealousies, wraths, selfish ambitions, dissentions, factions, envyings, murders, intoxications, revelings, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, as I also did forewarn, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

And similarly, the women to adorn themselves in disciplined decorum, with reverence and sobriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive apparel,

But she will be saved through childbearing, if they continue in faith and love and sanctification with sobriety.

Helpers likewise, be honorable, not double-tongued, not attending to much wine, not greedy of base gain,

But the end of all things has approached. Therefore be serious, and be sober for the prayers. And above all having fervent love for yourselves, because love will cover a multitude of sins, stranger-loving toward each other without complaints.
