John 10:1-16

Verily, verily I say to you, he that goes not through the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief, and a robber. But he that enters through the door, is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the door-keeper opens; and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.read more.
And when he puts his own sheep out, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him; for they know his voice. And a stranger they will not follow, but will flee from him; for they know not the voice of strangers. This parable spoke Jesus to them; but they knew not the meaning of the things which he spoke to them. Therefore Jesus spoke again to them: Verily, verily I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All that came before me were thieves and robbers; but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: if any one enters through me, he shall be saved; and he shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in abundance. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, to whom the sheep do not belong, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep, and scatters them. The hireling flees because he is a hireling, and cares not for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and I know my sheep, and am known by mine. As the Father knows me, I also know the Father, and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold; those, also, must I bring, and they will hear my voice: and there shall be one flock, one shepherd.

Galatians 4:21-31

Tell me, you that desire to be under the law, do you not understand the law? For it is written, that Abraham had two sons; one by a bondmaid, and one by a free woman. But the one by the bondmaid was born according to the flesh; the other, by the free woman, was by promise.read more.
These things are allegorized: for these women are the two covenants; the one from the Mount Sinai that brings forth for bondage, which is Hagar. For Hagar represents Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in bondage with her children. But Jerusalem which is above is free; and she is the mother of us all. For it is written: Rejoice you barren, that do not bear: break forth and cry aloud, you that travail not: for many more are the children of the deserted, than of her that had the husband of the deserted. We, indeed, brethren, like Isaac, are children of promise. But as then, he that was born according to the flesh persecuted him that was born ac cording to the Spirit, so even now. But what says the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son; for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the free-woman. Therefore, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free- woman.

Romans 11:15-24

For, if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the reception of them be, but life from the dead? Now, if the first fruit is holy, the mass is holy also: and if the root is holy, the branches are holy also. And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, have been grafted in among them, and partake with them of the root and fatness of the olive, read more.
boast not against the branches; but if you boast, boast not that you bear the root, but that the root bears you. You will say then: The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. Well; on ac count of unbelief they were broken off; but you stand by faith. Be not high-minded, but fear. For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed, lest he spare not you. Behold, then, the goodness and severity of God: toward them that fell,. severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness; otherwise, you also shall be cut off. And they, also, if they continue not in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again. For if you were cut out from an olive-tree that is wild by nature, and were grafted, against nature, into a good olive, how much more shall these, which are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive?

Ephesians 5:22-33

Wives, be subject to your own husbands as to the Lord: for the husband is the head of the wife, as the Christ also is the head of the church; and he is the savior of the body. But as the church is subject to the Christ, so, also, let the wives be subject to their own husbands in every thing.read more.
Husbands, love your wives, as the Christ also loved the church, and delivered himself up for it, that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the bath of water through the word, in order that he might present it to himself a glorious church, having neither stain, nor wrinkle, nor any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their own wives as their own bodies. He that loves his wife loves himself; for no one ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Christ the church: because we are members of his body, being of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh. Great is this mystery; but I speak of Christ and of the church. But yet, let each one of you so love his wife as himself; and let the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Ephesians 6:11-17

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the wiles of the devil: for our conflict is not with flesh and blood, but with the principalities, with the authorities, with the rulers of the darkness of this world, with the wicked spirits in the heavenly regions. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand them in the evil day, and having overcome them all, to stand firm.read more.
Stand, therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, and wearing the breastplate of righteousness, and having your feet shod with that preparation for defense supplied by the gospel of peace; taking up, over all, the shield of faith, with which you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one: and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
