But a natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.

And the light shines in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not.

Those of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things, and said to Him, "Are we also blind?" Jesus said to them, "If ye were blind, ye would have no sin; but now ye say, 'We see,' your sin abides."

On this account, I speak to them in parables; because, seeing, they see not; and, hearing, they hear not, nor understand.

And He said, "To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God; but to the rest in parables; that, seeing, they may not see, and, hearing, they may not understand.
