And we have more sure the prophetic word, to which ye do well in taking heed, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the daystar arise in your hearts;

through the tender mercy of our God, whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,

The night is far spent, the day is at hand; let us then throw off the works of darkness, and put on the armor of light.

Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in him, and in you; because the darkness is passing away, and the true light now shineth.
