These things have I written to you, that ye may know that ye who believe in the name of the Son of God have everlasting life.
But these have been written, that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God, and that believing ye may have life in his name.
For whatever things were written aforetime, were written for our instruction; that we through the patience and the consolation of the Scriptures might have hope.

But shun the profane babblings; for they will go on to a higher degree of ungodliness;
but avoid foolish questionings, and genealogies, and strifes, and contentions about the Law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

And Jesus answered and said to them, Go and tell John what ye hear and see. The blind receive sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised, and to the poor good tidings are brought; and blessed is he, whoever shall find no occasion of stumbling in me.
