It is important, brethren, that you should have clear knowledge on the subject of spiritual gifts.

Ignorant of the righteousness which God provides and building their hopes upon a righteousness of their own, they have refused submission to God's righteousness.

And, since you delight in obedience, do not shape your lives by the cravings which used to dominate you in the time of your ignorance,

with darkened understandings, having by reason of the ignorance which is deep-seated in them and the insensibility of their moral nature, no share in the Life which God gives. Such men being past feeling have abandoned themselves to impurity, greedily indulging in every kind of profligacy.
