John 8:31-41

Jesus therefore said to those Jews who believed in him, If ye continue in my word, ye are truly my disciples; and ye will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. Romans 4:13-17

For not through the Law was the promise made to Abraham or his offspring that he should be the heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith. For if they that are of the Law are heirs, then faith becometh a vain thing, and the promise is made of no effect. For the Law is the cause of wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression.read more.

Romans 9:6-8

Not as though the word of God hath failed; for not all they that are of Israel are Israel; nor because they are descendants of Abraham are they all children; but, "Thy offspring shall be reckoned from Isaac." That is, not the children by natural descent are children of God, but the children to whom the promise is made are accounted as the offspring.
