7 Bible Verses about Subjection

And the LORD said to her, "Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you shall be divided; the one shall be stronger than the other, the older shall serve the younger."

By your sword you shall live, and you shall serve your brother; but when you grow restless you shall break his yoke from your neck."

Then he dreamed another dream and told it to his brothers and said, "Behold, I have dreamed another dream. Behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me."

And they said, "You have saved our lives; may it please my lord, we will be servants to Pharaoh."

He saw that a resting place was good, and that the land was pleasant, so he bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant at forced labor.

And when they brought those kings out to Joshua, Joshua summoned all the men of Israel and said to the chiefs of the men of war who had gone with him, "Come near; put your feet on the necks of these kings." Then they came near and put their feet on their necks.

And the king of Israel answered, "As you say, my lord, O king, I am yours, and all that I have."
