Then was Jesus led up by the Spirit into the wilderness, to be tempted by the Devil. And when he had tasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward hungry.

And he was in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to him.

And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led in the Spirit in the wilderness forty days, tempted by the Devil. And he ate nothing in those days; and when they were ended, he was hungry.

Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
