O remember how short my time is, for what vanity thou have created all the sons of men!
Rejoice because of this, O heavens, and ye who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has little time.
But this I say, brothers, the time is shortened. It is the remaining, so that also those who have wives may be as not having,

Because all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as a flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower of it falls away,
men who know not of the morrow. For what is your life? For it will be a vapor that appears for a little while, and then also vanishes away--
