Revelation 13:1-2

I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns, seven heads, and ten royal crowns on its horns. On its heads were blasphemous names. The beast that I saw was like a leopard. Its feet were like bear's feet, and its mouth was like a lion's mouth. The dragon gave it his power, his throne, and complete authority.

Revelation 13:3

One of the beast's heads looked like it had sustained a mortal wound, but its fatal wound was healed. Rapt with amazement, the whole world followed the beast.

Revelation 13:5-6

The beast was allowed to speak arrogant and blasphemous things, and it was given authority for 42 months. It uttered blasphemies against God, against his name, and against his residence, that is, against those who are living in heaven.

Revelation 17:9-13

This calls for a mind that has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman is sitting. They are also seven kings. The ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom. They will receive authority to rule as kings with the beast for one hour. They have one purpose: to give their power and authority to the beast.

Psalm 2:7-9

Let me announce the decree of the LORD that he told me: "You are my son, today I have become your father. Ask of me, and I will give you the nations as your inheritance, the ends of the earth as your possession. You will break them with an iron rod, you will shatter them like pottery."
