And I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast come up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and upon his horns ten diadems, and upon his heads names of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority.

And one of his heads [was as if] mortally wounded, and its mortal wound was healed. And all the earth wondered after the beast,

And there was given him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemy, and power was given him to continue forty-two months [three years and a half]. And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle and those that dwell in heaven.

Here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sits, and are seven kings; five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come, and when he comes must continue a short time. And the beast which was and is not, he also is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goes to destruction.read more.
And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, which have not yet received a kingdom, but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one will, and give their power and their authority to the beast.

And another, a second angel, followed, saying, Babylon the great has fallen, who made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
