So he followed him out without knowing that what the angel was doing was real, for he thought he was having a vision. They were in great perplexity over this, when suddenly two men in dazzling clothing stood beside them. The women were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look among the dead for him who is alive? Remember what he told you while he was still in Galilee, when he said that the Son of Man must be handed over to wicked men and be crucified and rise again on the third day." Then they remembered his words,
Once when he was acting as priest before God, when his division was on duty,
But while he was thinking of doing this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, and said, "Joseph, descendant of David, do not fear to take Mary, your wife, to your home, for it is through the influence of the holy Spirit that she is to become a mother. She will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for it is he who is to save his people from their sins."
But when Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt and said, "Wake up! Take the child and his mother and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the child's life are dead." Then he awoke, and took the child and his mother and went to the land of Israel.read more.
But hearing that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in the place of his father, Herod, he was afraid to return there; and being warned in a dream, he took refuge in the region of Galilee,
But Mary stood just outside the tomb, weeping. And as she wept she looked down into the tomb, and saw two angels in white sitting where Jesus' body had been, one at his head and one at his feet. And they said to her, "Why are you weeping?" She said to them, "They have taken my Master away, and I do not know where they have put him."
