At destruction and famine you shall laugh, and shall not fear the beasts of the earth.
Rebuke the beasts that dwell among the reeds, the herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples. Trample underfoot those who lust after tribute; scatter the peoples who delight in war.
For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind,
For you shall be in league with the stones of the field, and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with you.

The LORD your God will clear away these nations before you little by little. You may not make an end of them at once, lest the wild beasts grow too numerous for you.
