He cometh, therefore, to Simon Peter. He says to Him, "Lord, dost Thou wash my feet?" Jesus answered, and said to him, "What I am doing you know not now; but you shall know hereafter." Peter says to Him, "Thou shalt never wash my feet!" Jesus answered him, "If I wash you not, you have no part with Me."

And the scribes of the Pharisees, seeing that He was eating with the sinners and tax-collectors, said to His disciples, "Why doth He eat with the tax-collectors and sinners?" And Jesus, hearing it, says to them, "Those who are well need not a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners."

And, hearing of it, His kinsmen went out to lay hold on Him; for they said, "He became insane!"

and he says to them, "Ye know that it is unlawful for a Jew to join himself with, or come to, one of another race; and yet God showed me that I should call no man common or unclean. Wherefore, also, having been sent for, I came without gainsaying. I ask, therefore, with what intent ye sent for me."
