'Adjure' in the Bible

Then the king said to him, “How many times must I adjure you to speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of the Lord?”

“I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem,If you find my beloved,As to what you will tell him:For I am lovesick.”

“What kind of beloved is your beloved,O most beautiful among women?What kind of beloved is your beloved,That thus you adjure us?”

But Jesus kept silent. And the high priest said to Him, “I adjure You by the living God, that You tell us whether You are the Christ, the Son of God.”

But also some of the Jewish exorcists, who went from place to place, attempted to name over those who had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, “I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.”

I adjure you by the Lord to have this letter read to all the brethren.
