'Baptism' in the Bible
beginning from the baptism of John until the day [on] which he was taken up from us--one of these [men] must become a witness of his resurrection together with us."
you know the thing that happened throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee, after the baptism that John proclaimed:
Before {his coming} John had publicly proclaimed a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.
This man had been instructed [in] the way of the Lord, and being enthusiastic in spirit, he was speaking and teaching accurately the [things] about Jesus, [although he] knew only the baptism of John.
And he said, "Into what then were you baptized?" And they said, "Into the baptism of John."
And Paul said, "John baptized [with] a baptism of repentance, telling the people that they should believe in the one who was to come after him--that is, in Jesus."
