'Bear' in the Bible
He said to the woman:I will intensify your labor pains;you will bear children in anguish.Your desire will be for your husband,yet he will rule over you.
But Cain answered the Lord, “My punishment is too great to bear!
But God said, “No. Your wife Sarah will bear you a son, and you will name him Isaac. I will confirm My covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his future offspring.
But I will confirm My covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this time next year.”
Then Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech, his wife, and his female slaves so that they could bear children,
Then she went and sat down nearby, about a bowshot away, for she said, “I can’t bear to watch the boy die!” So as she sat nearby, she wept loudly.
Then she said, “Here is my slave Bilhah. Go sleep with her, and she’ll bear children for me so that through her I too can build a family.”
Your servant became accountable to my father for the boy, saying, ‘If I do not return him to you, I will always bear the guilt for sinning against you, my father.’
For how can I go back to my father without the boy? I could not bear to see the grief that would overwhelm my father.”
He saw that his resting place was goodand that the land was pleasant,so he leaned his shoulder to bear a loadand became a forced laborer.
