'Cloths' in the Bible

Then you will defile your silver-plated idols and your gold-plated images. You will throw them away like menstrual cloths, and call them filth.

As for your birth, your umbilical cord wasn’t cut on the day you were born, and you weren’t washed clean with water. You were not rubbed with salt or wrapped in cloths.

Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. When he stooped to look in, he saw only the linen cloths. So he went home, amazed at what had happened.

Then they took Jesus’ body and wrapped it in linen cloths with the aromatic spices, according to the burial custom of the Jews.

Stooping down, he saw the linen cloths lying there, yet he did not go in.

Then, following him, Simon Peter came also. He entered the tomb and saw the linen cloths lying there.

The wrapping that had been on His head was not lying with the linen cloths but was folded up in a separate place by itself.
