'Comforters' in the Bible
"I've heard many things like this. What miserable comforters you all are!
Insults broke my heart. I despaired and looked for sympathy; but there was none, for comforters, but I found none.
Next I turned to consider all kinds of oppression that exists on earth. Look at the tears of the oppressed there is no one to comfort them. Power is on the side of their oppressors; so they have no comforters.
You are to weep in silence, but you are not to participate in mourning rituals. You are to keep your turban on your head and your sandals on your feet. You are not to cover your mouth or eat what your comforters bring to you."
