'Confessing' in the Bible
And whiles I was speaking and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;
and were baptized of him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.
And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea and those of Jerusalem and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.
And many that believed came, confessing and declaring their deeds.
These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but seeing them afar off and believing them and embracing them and confessing that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips confessing his name.
