'Dried up' in the Bible
At the time they diminish, they are dried up; when heat affecteth them, they vanish from their place:
“Indeed, you have now become like a dried-up stream,You see a terror [believing me to be a victim of the wrath of God] and are afraid [to be compassionate].
Lo, He keepeth in the waters, and they are dried up, And he sendeth them forth, And they overturn the land.
The floods when they be dried up, and the rivers when they be empty, are filled again through the flowing waters of the sea:
His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.
The flood breaketh out from the inhabitant: even the waters forgotten by the foot: they are dried up, they have gone away from men.
They are dried up with want and famine; they who gnaw the dry ground, which was before waste and ruin,
