'Eagles' in the Bible
‘You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to Myself.
“Saul and Jonathan, beloved and pleasant in their life,And in their death they were not parted;They were swifter than eagles,They were stronger than lions.
The eye that mocks a fatherAnd scorns a mother,The ravens of the valley will pick it out,And the young eagles will eat it.
Yet those who wait for the LordWill gain new strength;They will mount up with wings like eagles,They will run and not get tired,They will walk and not become weary.
“Behold, he goes up like clouds,And his chariots like the whirlwind;His horses are swifter than eagles.Woe to us, for we are ruined!”
Our pursuers were swifterThan the eagles of the sky;They chased us on the mountains,They waited in ambush for us in the wilderness.
Immediately the word concerning Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled; and he was driven away from mankind and began eating grass like cattle, and his body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair had grown like eagles’ feathers and his nails like birds’ claws.
