'Eight' in the Bible

When the eight days were completed for His circumcision, He was named Jesus—the name given by the angel before He was conceived.

About eight days after these words, He took along Peter, John, and James and went up on the mountain to pray.

After eight days His disciples were indoors again, and Thomas was with them. Even though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them. He said, “Peace to you!”

There he found a man named Aeneas, who was paralyzed and had been bedridden for eight years.

When he had spent not more than eight or 10 days among them, he went down to Caesarea. The next day, seated at the judge’s bench, he commanded Paul to be brought in.
