'Furrows' in the Bible

“If my land cries out against me,And its furrows weep together;

You water its furrows abundantly,You settle its ridges,You soften it with showers,You bless its growth.

“The plowers plowed upon my back;They lengthened their furrows.”

They speak mere words,With worthless oaths they make covenants;And judgment sprouts like poisonous weeds in the furrows of the field.

Is there iniquity in Gilead?Surely they are worthless.In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls,Yes, their altars are like the stone heapsBeside the furrows of the field.
