'Gold' in the Bible

Or with princes who had gold,Who were filling their houses with silver.

And place your gold in the dust,And the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks,

Then the Almighty will be your goldAnd choice silver to you.

“But He knows the way I take;When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.

“Surely there is a mine for silverAnd a place where they refine gold.

“Its rocks are the source of sapphires,And its dust contains gold.

“Pure gold cannot be given in exchange for it,Nor can silver be weighed as its price.

“It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir,In precious onyx, or sapphire.

“Gold or glass cannot equal it,Nor can it be exchanged for articles of fine gold.

“The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it,Nor can it be valued in pure gold.

“If I have put my confidence in gold,And called fine gold my trust,

Then all his brothers and all his sisters and all who had known him before came to him, and they ate bread with him in his house; and they consoled him and comforted him for all the adversities that the Lord had brought on him. And each one gave him one piece of money, and each a ring of gold.
