'Greater' in the Bible

And God made the two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

And Cain said unto Jehovah, My punishment is greater than I can bear.

he is not greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back anything from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

And his father refused, and said, I know it , my son, I know it . He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: howbeit his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.
