'Grow' in the Bible
In a good field, by abundant waters, it was planted to grow branches, bear fruit, and become a beautiful vine.
The water made it grow; underground springs made it grow tall. Rivers flowed all around the place it was planted, while smaller channels watered all the trees of the field.
For this reason no watered trees will grow so tall; their tops will not reach into the clouds, nor will the well-watered ones grow that high. For all of them have been appointed to die in the lower parts of the earth; they will be among mere mortals, with those who descend to the pit.
"'But you, mountains of Israel, will grow your branches, and bear your fruit for my people Israel; for they will arrive soon.
"'They must not shave their heads nor let their hair grow long; they must only trim their heads.
On both sides of the river's banks, every kind of tree will grow for food. Their leaves will not wither nor will their fruit fail, but they will bear fruit every month, because their water source flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food and their leaves for healing."
