'Growing' in the Bible
I saw in my [second] dream, seven ears [of grain], plump and good, growing on a single stalk;
Now when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, along with a three-year-old bull, an ephah of flour, and a leather bottle of wine [to pour over the burnt offering for a sweet fragrance], and she brought Samuel to the Lord’s house in Shiloh, although the child was young.
[Growing in grace] they will still thrive and bear fruit and prosper in old age;They will flourish and be vital and fresh [rich in trust and love and contentment];
For the land of my people growing over with thorns and briars—Yes, [mourn] for all the houses of joy in the joyous city.
For behold, they will go away because of devastation and destruction;Egypt will gather them up, Memphis will bury them.Weeds will take over their treasures of silver;Thorns will grow in their tents.
