'Help' in the Bible

So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. They came and filled both boats until the boats began to sink.

But Martha was worrying about all the things she had to do, so she came to him and asked, "Lord, you do care that my sister has left me to do the work all by myself, don't you? Then tell her to help me."

Won't God grant his chosen people justice when they cry out to him day and night? Is he slow to help them?
