'Humanity' in the Bible
All humanity will come to You,the One who hears prayer.
Here is a tragedy I have observed under the sun, and it weighs heavily on humanity:
When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is: fear God and keep His commands, because this is for all humanity.
So humanity is brought low,and man is humbled.Do not forgive them!
Humanity is brought low, man is humbled, and haughty eyes are humbled.
I said: I will never see the Lord, the Lord in the land of the living;I will not look on humanity any longerwith the inhabitants of what is passing away.
And the glory of the Lord will appear, and all humanity together will see it,for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
A voice was saying, “Cry out!”Another said, “What should I cry out?”“All humanity is grass, and all its goodness is like the flower of the field.
Look, I will certainly make you insignificant among the nations, despised among humanity.
After thisI will pour out My Spirit on all humanity;then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will have dreams, and your young men will see visions.
And it will be in the last days, says God,that I will pour out My Spirit on all humanity;then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape so that you are able to bear it.
