'Invoked' in the Bible
Therefore hear the word of the Lord, all [you people of] Judah who are living in the land of Egypt, ‘Behold, I have sworn [an oath] by My great Name,’ says the Lord, ‘that My Name shall never again be invoked by the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, “As the Lord God lives.”
And He took the children [one by one] in His arms and blessed them [with kind, encouraging words], placing His hands on them.
Then He led them out as far as Bethany, and lifted up His hands and blessed them.
So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord,And all the Gentiles upon whom My name has been invoked,’
By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau [believing what God revealed to him], even regarding things to come.
Do they not blaspheme the precious name [of Christ] by which you are called?
