'Islands' in the Bible
Let the kings of Tarshish and of the islands bring presents; The kings of Sheba and Seba offer gifts.
The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice;Let the many islands be glad.
Then it will happen on that day that the LordWill again recover the second time with His handThe remnant of His people, who will remain,From Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath,And from the islands of the sea.
Behold, the nations are like a drop from a bucket,And are regarded as a speck of dust on the scales;Behold, He lifts up the islands like fine dust.
Sing to the Lord a new song,Sing His praise from the end of the earth! You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it.You islands, and those who dwell on them.
Listen to Me, O islands,And pay attention, you peoples from afar. The Lord called Me from the womb; From the body of My mother He named Me.
