'Merely' in the Bible

Your servant would merely cross over the Jordan with the king. Why should the king compensate me with this reward?

Scarcely have they been planted,Scarcely have they been sown,Scarcely has their stock taken root in the earth,But He merely blows on them, and they wither,And the storm carries them away like stubble.

Yet you have not merely walked in their ways or done according to their abominations; but, as if that were too little, you acted more corruptly in all your conduct than they.
