'Mother' in the Bible
Two days later there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there,
Now the wine ran short; whereupon the mother of Jesus said to Him, "They have no wine."
His mother said to the attendants, "Whatever he tells you to do, do it."
Afterwards He went down to Capernaum--He, and His mother, and His brothers, and His disciples; and they made a short stay there.
They kept asking, "Is not this man Joseph's son? Is he not Jesus, whose father and mother we know? What does he mean by now saying, 'I have come down out of Heaven'?"
Now standing close to the cross of Jesus were His mother and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala.
So Jesus, seeing His mother, and seeing the disciple whom He loved standing near, said to His mother, "Behold, your son!"
Then He said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" And from that time the disciple received her into his own home.
