My lips certainly will not speak unjustly,Nor will my tongue mutter deceit.
“The path no bird of prey knows,Nor has the falcon’s eye caught sight of it.
“The proud beasts have not trodden it,Nor has the fierce lion passed over it.
“Man does not know its value,Nor is it found in the land of the living.
“Pure gold cannot be given in exchange for it,Nor can silver be weighed as its price.
“Gold or glass cannot equal it,Nor can it be exchanged for articles of fine gold.
“The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it,Nor can it be valued in pure gold.
“The abundant in years may not be wise,Nor may elders understand justice.
“For he has not arranged his words against me,Nor will I reply to him with your arguments.
“Let me now be partial to no one,Nor flatter any man.
“Behold, no fear of me should terrify you,Nor should my pressure weigh heavily on you.
Who shows no partiality to princesNor regards the rich above the poor,For they all are the work of His hands?
So that godless men would not ruleNor be snares of the people.
“Surely God will not listen to an empty cry,Nor will the Almighty regard it.
“And now, because He has not visited in His anger,Nor has He acknowledged transgression well,
