'Oppression' in the Bible

Learn to practice what is good; seek justice, alleviate oppression, defend orphans in court, and plead the widow's case.

Therefore, this is what the Holy One of Israel says: "Because you reject this message, and put your trust in oppression and enjoy it, and since you rely on it,

they've rebelled in treachery against the LORD, and are turning away from following our God; and they've spoken oppression and revolt, and are conceiving lying words from the heart.
