'Perversely' in the Bible

if they take it to heart in the land where they have been taken captive, and they repent and pray to You in the land of their captors, saying, ‘We have sinned and done wrong and we have acted wickedly;’

Let the arrogant be ashamed and humiliated, for they sabotage me with a lie;But I will meditate on Your precepts.

Though the wicked is shown compassion and favor,He does not learn righteousness;In the land of uprightness he deals unjustly,And refuses to see the majesty of the Lord.

we have sinned and committed wrong, and have behaved wickedly and have rebelled, turning away from Your commandments and ordinances.
