'Plead' in the Bible

‘They are fat, they are sleek,They also excel in deeds of wickedness;They do not plead the cause,The cause of the orphan, that they may prosper;And they do not defend the rights of the poor.

Righteous are You, O Lord, that I would plead my case with You;Indeed I would discuss matters of justice with You:Why has the way of the wicked prospered?Why are all those who deal in treachery at ease?

‘There is no one to plead your cause;No healing for your sore,No recovery for you.

“Their Redeemer is strong, the Lord of hosts is His name;He will vigorously plead their caseSo that He may bring rest to the earth,But turmoil to the inhabitants of Babylon.

Therefore thus says the Lord,“Behold, I am going to plead your caseAnd exact full vengeance for you;And I will dry up her seaAnd make her fountain dry.
