'Plucking' in the Bible

And it came to pass that he went on the sabbath through the cornfields; and his disciples began to walk on, plucking the ears.

And it came to pass on the second-first sabbath, that he went through cornfields, and his disciples were plucking the ears and eating them, rubbing them in their hands.

What then was your blessedness? for I bear you witness that, if possible, plucking out your own eyes ye would have given them to me.
