9 Bible Verses about Affections Should Not Grow Cold

Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold.

But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you;

They quickly forgot His works;
They did not wait for His counsel,

not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;

Where then is that sense of blessing you had? For I bear you witness that, if possible, you would have plucked out your eyes and given them to me.

‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked,

And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment,

And His miracles that He had shown them.
