'Preaching' in the Bible
For God, whom I serve with my spirit by preaching the gospel about his Son, is my witness how constantly I mention you
thou who art preaching not to steal, dost thou steal? thou who art saying not to commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou who art abhorring the idols, dost thou rob temples?
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
How, then, can people call on someone they have not believed? And how can they believe in someone they have not heard about? And how can they hear without someone preaching?
So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ.
