'Profaned' in the Bible

“I was angry with My people,I profaned My heritageAnd gave them into your hand.You did not show mercy to them,On the aged you made your yoke very heavy.

“For My own sake, for My own sake, I will act;For how can My name be profaned?And My glory I will not give to another.
