'Pupil' in the Bible
“He found him in a desert land,In the howling wasteland of a wilderness;He kept circling him, He took care of him,He protected him as the apple of His eye.
Keep me [in Your affectionate care, protect me] as the apple of Your eye;Hide me in the [protective] shadow of Your wings
Keep my commandments and live,And keep my teaching and law as the apple of your eye.
For thus says the Lord of hosts, “After glory He has sent Me against the nations which plunder you—for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye.
As for the man who does this, may the Lord cut off from the tents of Jacob to the last man those who do this [evil thing], awake and aware, even the one who brings an offering to the Lord of hosts.
A student is not superior to his teacher; but everyone, after he has been completely trained, will be like his teacher.
