'Rebels' in the Bible
The Lord told Moses, “Put Aaron’s staff back in front of the testimony to be kept as a sign for the rebels, so that you may put an end to their complaints before Me, or else they will die.”
Moses and Aaron summoned the assembly in front of the rock, and Moses said to them, “Listen, you rebels! Must we bring water out of this rock for you?”
Anyone who rebels against your order and does not obey your words in all that you command him, will be put to death. Above all, be strong and courageous!”
One who isolates himself pursues selfish desires;he rebels against all sound judgment.
My son, fear the Lord, as well as the king, and don’t associate with rebels,
Your rulers are rebels, friends of thieves. They all love graftand chase after bribes. They do not defend the rights of the fatherless, and the widow’s case never comes before them.
But both rebels and sinners will be destroyed, and those who abandon the Lord will perish.
Therefore I will give Him the many as a portion, and He will receive the mighty as spoil, because He submitted Himself to death, and was counted among the rebels;yet He bore the sin of manyand interceded for the rebels.
All are stubborn rebelsspreading slander. They are bronze and iron;all of them are corrupt.
Near the end of their kingdoms, when the rebels have reachedthe full measure of their sin,an insolent king, skilled in intrigue, will come to the throne.
Rebels are deeply involved in slaughter;I will be a punishment for all of them.
And if Satan rebels against himself and is divided, he cannot stand but is finished!
