'Remembers' in the Bible

For He who avenges blood [unjustly shed] remembers them (His people);He does not forget the cry of the afflicted and abused.

For He knows our [mortal] frame;He remembers that we are [merely] dust.

In the days of her affliction and homelessnessJerusalem remembers all her precious thingsThat she had from the days of old,When her people fell into the hand of the adversary,And no one helped her,The enemy saw her,They mocked at her downfall.

He remembers and summons his nobles;They stumble in their march [terrified because of the attack].They hurry to the city wall,And the mantelet is prepared and firmly set up.

A woman, when she is in labor, has pain because her time [to give birth] has come; but when she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of her joy that a child has come into the world.
